1. Emmanuel Mudiay

During the 2018-19 season, the Knicks seem to be packed with players that need to prove they belong in the NBA. At the top of this list stands Emmanuel Mudiay. Now 22, he has not yet shown the skill-set that led the Denver Nuggets to select him seventh overall back in 2015.

But with David Fizdale experimenting with the lineups, Mudiay has finally found his groove. After a number of extremely mediocre seasons, he is finally hitting his crescendo in the league.

Since getting that starting point guard spot, Emmanuel Mudiay has been averaging 14.7 points in 23.2 minutes per game. Some great shooting percentages also accompany his scoring stats. He’s got the field goal percentage of a big-man (52.1 percent) and the 3-point percentage of a slightly below-average shooter (34.8 percent).

All of his numbers seem to be going up except one, and that is his turnovers per game. Even though he is spending much more time on the floor, the amount of times he’s turned over the ball has barely even gone up.

Probably the most hungry and determined player on the court, Mudiay is finally getting the chances he deserves as a member of the New York Knicks. One can only wonder what he could achieve if he were to receive an increase in his playing time.
