3. Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks

Last week: 1st (↓2)

Trae Young finds himself down a few spots after a “quiet” few games of scoring in Week 3 — quiet meaning Young didn’t have any games this week where he went for 35 points. In fact, he struggled a bit from a shooting standpoint against the Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers. Last Saturday night against Chicago, he went 0-for-6 from 3-point land. Against the Sixers on Monday, he was 1-for-6 from behind the arc.

Through those first two games of the week, Young showed that he was adjusting to the league. On Tuesday night though, he bounced back against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Young shot 3-of-4 from the 3-point line against Cleveland, finishing with his highest point total of the week with 24.

Despite their 146-115 blowout loss to the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night, Young managed to finish with his second double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 assists. On the week, he averaged 15.5 points, 6.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds per contest on 25 percent shooting from behind the arc. Although his 3-point shot was off, he still managed to distribute the ball solidly at the point guard position. Atlanta could really John Collins in the frontcourt, too.
