4. Marvin Bagley III, Sacramento Kings

Last week: 5th (↑1)

Marvin Bagley III has come into a really good situation with the Sacramento Kings, who won their fifth game in a row Thursday night against the Hawks. While second-year player De’Aaron Fox put up a triple-double with 31 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds, the rest of the team fed off of his energy.

Bagley came off the bench and excelled. He went off for 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field along with five rebounds and a steal. On the season, Bagley is averaging 13.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest. While he hasn’t taken many 3-point shots, he’s still gone 5-of-9 from behind the arc.

He’ll be one player to keep an eye on for a team that is currently 6-3 and fifth in the Western Conference. Sacramento is off to its best start in years and the young core is showing tremendous chemistry. Getting more out of Bagley could carry them a bit further, so it will be interesting to see how he develops as the season progresses.
