3. Kawhi Leonard

Stats: 27.3 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 3.2 APG, 2.0 SPG in 34.7 MPG, 50.4 FG%, 44.4 3P%

By the looks of it, the Kawhi Leonard we use to all know and love with the San Antonio Spurs has finally returned. Now that he is almost fully acclimated with coach Nurse’s system, there’s no telling what he can do; it’s essentially built to feed him the ball.

With the hyper-talented offensive skill-set that Leonard possesses, the Raptors can now feel more confident going into isolation plays, something they did not feel with DeMar DeRozan’s consistent vice of taking long 2-pointers. Leonard is averaging 27.3 points per game (which could be a career-high if sustained) on 50.4 percent shooting from the field and 44.4 percent from deep.

It’s worth mentioning that he’s not lost a step defensively either. He is still averaging 2.0 steals and 0.5 swats per game, and this clip of him making a no-look steal demonstrates that even if he is still not fully 100 percent back from his quad injury, he can still dominate.

Life’s good when you have a Kawhi Leonard, who’s giving it his all for a franchise that wants him there. However, the looming question here is whether his mind is in Toronto or if he’s already set his sights for the glitz and glamor of L.A. Nevertheless, Raptors fans should enjoy him for this year and hopefully many beyond.

Grade: A+
