Chicago Bulls: 3 reasons expectations should be tempered for 2018-19
With the additions of two first round picks and Jabari Parker, the Chicago Bulls hope to contend for a playoff spot. However, there are still a few reasons not to temper expectations for 2018-19.
The Chicago Bulls finished their preseason slate with a 2-3 record. That can be considered somewhat of an accomplishment being that Lauri Markkanen will be out of the mix for a bit.
What is also worth noting is Zach LaVine appears to have bounced back from an ACL injury that kept him off the court for nearly a year. Kris Dunn continues to demonstrate that he will be one of the better defenders on the roster. Despite being all of 19 years old, Wendell Carter Jr. played reasonably well during the preseason.
No, his 7.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest doesn’t jump off the stat sheet, but his level of play showed a maturity that goes beyond his years or the numbers. These factors are something that Bulls fans will embrace with the 2018-19 NBA season on the horizon.
Of course, there are two sides to every story, and this scenario with the Bulls is no exception. A few weeks ago, we discussed a few reasons to be excited about the new season. Today we will look at a few reasons to temper expectations for Chicago’s 2018-19 campaign.
