5. Be aggressive on defense

Young will not be the best defensive player on the court for the Hawks. He comes into the NBA with a few disadvantages defensively. His one year of college ball wasn’t bad, but no one spoke highly of his defensive game as they do of his passing and perimeter shooting.

His 6’2″, 180 pound frame will leave him susceptible to the bigger guards. Even the small guards will be able to push him around at his current listed weight. There is no doubt that he needs to fill out his frame just a little more, but he also just turned 20 so his body will still change a little while he’s adjusting to the NBA pace.

So Young needs to be aggressive on defense. If he uses his small size and speed to his advantage, he could end up with a few steals a game, something the team wasn’t exactly known for last year.
