3. Shoot over 40 percent from 3-point range

Furkan Korkmaz has shown himself to be a quality 3-point shooter. It was difficult for him to show in just 5.7 minutes per game in 2017-18, but this year, he should shoot over 40 percent from 3-point range. He’s shown flashes of his ability to fill it up behind the arc and looks ready to do more on the national stage.

Granted, the regular season is certainly a bigger sample size but through Summer League and preseason, Korkmaz has managed to excel from behind the arc. He opened the Las Vegas Summer League back in July with a 40-point performance on eight made 3-pointers. He finished the summer shooting 17-of-46 (37 percent) from 3-point range.

Through four preseason games this year, he’s shooting 8-of-15 (53.3 percent) from behind the arc off the bench. Korkmaz put up 18 points off the bench in the Philadelphia 76ers’ 120-114 victory over the Orlando Magic back on Oct. 1.

He’s made at least one 3-pointer in each outing this season, so far, but is averaging just 12.4 minutes per contest. He’ll need to prove he can do more than just score the basketball, but at his height of 6-foot-7, he may be ready to show off his versatility.
