Despite skepticism from the pundits, there are reasons to believe the Cleveland Cavaliers will make the playoffs. Here are three excuses to have hope.

The Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t the sexiest pick to make the 2019 NBA Playoffs. FanSided predicts the Cavaliers will miss the postseason. Bleacher Report slates them as a 40-42 team, with the 10th-best record in the East. ESPN says the squad will finish 31-51, 11th in the conference.

The skeptics, dear Cavs fans, don’t know this team like we do. Or at least, we hope they don’t know this team like we do, because we know the Cavaliers are going to make the playoffs! Anyone else this optimistic? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

So maybe even Cleveland fans are without postseason expectations for their beloved team. The young roster lacks star power and the rest of the division appears to be improving. Head coach Tyronn Lue has yet to guide a team without LeBron James and last time The King left town, things didn’t go well the next season.

Nevertheless, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic. We highlighted why Cavs fans should be amped about the upcoming season in a recent piece. Now, here are three reasons why the team will make the playoffs.
