Don’t listen to the naysayers. There are plenty of reasons to be amped about the 2018-19 Cleveland Cavaliers season. Here are the five reasons to be excited.
Usually summer is the time for vacation and relaxation. After a wild offseason, the Cleveland Cavaliers probably want nothing more than to just play basketball. Summer vacation couldn’t end soon enough.
The past three months saw contract extensions, free agent pickups, a significant draft pick and the loss of the basketball’s biggest name to another team.
It was a roller coaster ride from the moment the Cavs succumbed to the Golden State Warriors 101-92 on June 8. Now the squad is locked and reloaded, hoping to make a push for the NBA playoffs sans LeBron James.
There are so many questions to be answered. While the prospect of playing in the post-James era seems daunting, it’s not apocalyptic. There are plenty of reasons for optimism, or at least intrigue over the upcoming campaign. So much so, baby Cavs fans are dancing.
