4. Stay healthy

There is no certain way of preventing injury, which is a part of the game of basketball. However, there’s no question this team needs to stay as healthy as possible to turn what appears to be a lost season into a productive one.

With LeBron James leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Eastern Conference is weaker than ever. This means that teams that wouldn’t normally make the playoffs are being projected to make the postseason.

Porzingis is injured. There’s nothing the Knicks can do about that. But if he only misses a portion of the season and not the entire campaign, making the playoffs does not seem to be such an unrealistic goal.

Last season, Tim Hardaway Jr. missed 25 games due to minor injuries, resulting in the lack of some wing scoring. Who knows? Maybe we would have seen the team compete in the playoffs for the first time since 2013 if the main players hadn’t been struck by injuries.

Odds Shark currently has the New York Knicks as the second-worst team in the East, tied with the Chicago Bulls and ahead of nly the Atlanta Hawks. Who knows where this team would be at 100 percent?
