3. 3-point percentage

Atlanta has been accumulating players with impressive shooting abilities over the past few years. Just take a look at Taurean Waller-Prince. He was an exceptionally efficient shooter in that playoff series against the Washington Wizards during his rookie season. He was inserted into the starting lineup because the Hawks needed more scoring and defense in that unit, which was exactly what Waller-Prince provided.

Coming in this year are two of the best shooters in the NCAA last season, Trae Young and Kevin Huerter. Young is a high-volume shooter, whereas Huerter is more of an efficient catch-and-shoot threat. The team also drafted Villanova’s Omari Spellman, who projects to be a stretch-big at the NBA level.

Kent Bazemore is a bit of an under-the-radar shooter on this team. He shot 39 percent from the 3-point line last season and continues to improve on his shooting efficiency year after year.

The long distance shots will certainly be flying this year. There are a lot of good shooters on this team to take them.
