3. Consolidate talent

Devin Booker, Josh Jackson and Trevor Ariza are most likely going to be the starters at positions 2-4. Behind them, there’s a big logjam.

Mikal Bridges, T.J. Warren, Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss are all players with high potential who should be getting a lot of minutes. Troy Daniels and Davon Reed might even get minutes at the 2 as well. As long as all of these players are there, some of them will be sitting on the bench.

Unless Elie Okobo is better than expected early on, point guard is still a glaring hole on the roster. For a team trying to compete this year, that’s not a good look.

If the Suns find a trade where they can trade two good players for a better one, or where they can get a possible franchise point guard, they should pull the trigger.

There are some players more likely to be traded than others, but almost every backup on the wings could me moved for someone better.
