3. Will Utah continue its ascent and get better?

The past two years have been a success for the Jazz franchise. They have, in many peoples’ eyes, overachieved and developed into a legit contender in the Western Conference.

They have shown resilience, which was evident last season when they finished 48-34 in the competitive Western Conference on the heels of star forward Gordon Hayward leaving via free agency. The coaching staff has preached unity and toughness, which has translated into wins.

Now that the league expects the Jazz to be in the upper echelon of the West, will they continue to grow or become complacent? To remain a contender and keep hope alive of defeating the Golden State Warriors, the latter is essential.

The Jazz must keep finding ways to frustrate opponents and form game plans to play efficient, winning basketball on both ends. Another step forward for this team is necessary if it wishes to reach its goal of a championship.
