4. Earn a spot in the rotation

Troy Brown will have his work cut out for him earning playing time as a rookie in 2018-19. Not only will he battle Otto Porter Jr. and Kelly Oubre Jr. for time, but he’ll have Austin Rivers and Tomas Satoransky ahead of him as well.

Going in as the ninth man in the rotation isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The Wizards will have some adjustments to make with Dwight Howard in the starting rotation at center. One odd man out in the situation is veteran shooting guard Jodie Meeks.

Meeks is still serving the rest of his 25-game suspension after testing positive for banned compounds Ipamorelin and Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2. Brown could find himself utilizing Meeks’ minutes, although, without solid production, he could see limited time as a rookie.

He’ll have his work cut out for him, that’s for sure. The Wizards addressed a lot of their depth concerns, at least for one season in 2018-19.
