5. Avoid the G League

The Washington Wizards have a new G League team forming to begin the 2018-19 season. The Capital City Go Go will be the name of their new developmental squad, and while it’s a good opportunity for some, it’s a place Troy Brown wants to avoid.

The Wizards already have forward Devin Robinson and Jordan McRae signed to two-way contracts. With those deals, it allows both players to spend up to 45 days with their respective NBA squad along with time spent in the G League. Robinson had an explosive Summer League along with Brown, so he could see more than seven appearances in 2018-19 as well. McRae spent last season overseas in Spain.

The rotation will be packed, but it’s up to Brown to find his way for playing time. It’s always easier said than done to do things like that, but Brown will have his work cut out for him as a rookie. The G League isn’t a bad place to be, but going into the season, it’s a place Brown should look to avoid at all costs.
