4. Nikola Vucevic
There’s the case to be made that if Nikola Vucevic becomes the Magic’s best player again, the team is going in the wrong direction once more.
There is another way to look at this, however, and it’s a far more positive one. After all, Vucevic has averaged a double-double for the Magic four times in his six seasons with the team.

Now that Bismack Biyombo has be moved to the Charlotte Hornets, the path to more minutes is there for Vucevic.
If you combine this with the increased level of talent around him, it stands to reason that this young supporting cast is only going to keep getting better. Vucevic will have more help than ever before.
If you combine his production with help from other players, be it the younger guys or veterans like Jonathon Simmons, all that Vucevic does would look a lot better next to some extra W’s.
Vucevic has also continued to improve what was already a polished offensive game, taking a career-high 3.6 attempts per game from deep last season.
Diversifying his game in this way, while getting newfound help defensively from some of the other bigs on this team, would mean that if he became their best player again, things would undoubtedly go differently for player and team.
