3. LeBron James is embracing the young guys

Throughout his career, LeBron James has played with mostly veterans by his side. The Lakers brought in a few old-timers to assist him this season, but the core is a youthful bunch.

After agreeing to a deal with Los Angeles, James went on hiatus for a few days, before deciding to make his first public appearance in purple and gold at NBA Summer League.

James was seen hugging the young players, talking to them and stuck around to watch the game. His first Laker related tweet was a congratulatory one to Josh Hart.

When James met with Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka in his initial free agent meeting, he broke down the Lakers’ roster so well it even shocked Johnson.

By attending Summer League, James demonstrated his role as a leader, showing commitment to a roster of players most of whom won’t make it to training camp.
