3. Has shown flashes of being a potential floor spacer

Since joining the Bulls back in the summer of 2015, Fred Hoiberg attempted to implement a similar pace-and-space system that he used during his five-year tenure at Iowa State. During his first two years with the Bulls, he didn’t have the personnel needed to bring the concept to fruition.

Last season, though, the Bulls finished sixth in the league in 3-point attempts per game (31.1) and they ranked 10th in 3-pointers made (11 per contest). With that in mind, the Bulls are hoping to build on that momentum heading into next season.

During Parker’s first two years in the NBA, he was hardly considered a threat from beyond the arc. In fact, he connected on just 25 and 25.7 percent of his attempts from deep. Conversely, that trend has changed over the past two seasons.

In 2016-17, Parker knocked down 36.5 percent of his looks from beyond the arc. He followed that up with a 38.3 percent conversion rate on 2.6 attempts per contest last season.

Whether Parker’s recent improvement in this area is an aberration or a positive signs of things to come remains to be seen. If it’s the latter, he will be a welcomed addition to a Bulls squad that is in need of another player who can stretch the floor.
