5. Rodney Hood

Rodney Hood is a restricted free agent the Kings should strongly consider. Hood has seen his share of ups and down in his career, particularly this past season, but the talent has always been obvious.

Drafted by the Utah Jazz with the No. 23 pick in 2014, Hood averaged 8.7 points per game in his rookie season. He averaged 14.5 points in his second year, but injuries plagued his third season. At the trade deadline last year, Hood was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

As the Cavs made their playoff run, Hood struggled to get minutes. He finally got his shot in the Finals and showed a glimpse of his talent, but it was too late to save them from losing to the Golden State Warriors.

The Kings would benefit from acquiring Hood, who will be motivated more than ever to bounce back from the drama in Cleveland. Especially with Hood having playoff experience under his belt, that could go a long ways in facilitating the growth of himself and his teammates.

James Ham of NBC Sports California predicts that Hood will seek a four-year, $48-60 million contract.
