5. Re-sign the bench

The Thunder have five players without a contract for next season, not including George and Anthony. These players are Nick Collison, Raymond Felton, Jerami Grant, Josh Huestis and Corey Brewer.

Two of these players will probably not be back next year. Collison appears to have succumbed to Tather Time. He should be put on as an assistant coach next season.

The Thunder declined the team option on Huestis in the middle of last season. The 26-year-old has not shown enough for the Thunder to use a roster spot on him next season.

Felton is a must to be re-signed. He led the team well when Westbrook rested, often combining with the superstar for periods of play when Westbrook came back on. In 2016-17, the Thunder only had Semaj Christon to back up Westbrook thanks to Cameron Payne and his dodgy foot. This was not a good time for Oklahoma City.

Corey Brewer was a revelation with his energy and passion when he was picked up by the Thunder. He needs to be back in OKC next season, as he fits the running game of Westbrook

However, the main player who must be re-signed is Grant. The forward out of Syracuse can defend any position on the court. He is also growing into his body and finishing at the rim through contact. He is raw and a work in progress but has plenty to offer.
