After a roller coaster season which ended too quickly, the Oklahoma City Thunder have another offseason of potential turmoil.
In a season that started with so much hope, the Oklahoma City Thunder franchise was unable to deliver. Just one season after losing Kevin Durant, they managed to trade for both Paul George and Carmelo Anthony.
General manager Sam Presti appeared to turn their fortunes around in a single offseason. Not only did he sign two NBA stars, he managed to secure the signatures of Raymond Felton and Patrick Patterson in an effort to round out the bench for his team to contend.
Unfortunately for OKC, this did not happen, The Thunder got knocked out in the first round by a Utah Jazz team that was the surprise of the playoffs. This has led to fans and probably the front office wondering what’s going to happen with Paul George and other single-season signings.
This speculation is not new for his fanbase. Two seasons ago, OKC agonized over the Durant decision. This summer, the Thunder will want to keep George but will also need to figure out what to do with the other member of the Big 3, Carmelo Anthony.
