Derrick Favors: 5 potential landing spots in 2018 free agency

4. Orlando Magic

Another rebuilding franchise that could use a younger veteran like Favors, the Magic will be looking for a power forward if they can’t retain restricted free agent Aaron Gordon.

Orlando has its center of the future in this year’s No. 6 draft pick, Mo Bamba. The small forward of the future could be last year’s No. 6 pick, Jonathan Isaac. Favors would complete a promising frontcourt trio with his mid-range shooting, passing and rebounding.

Working in Favors’ … um, favor is that he already aced his most recent audition for the Magic. Favors had one of his best games of this past season in a November blowout win at Orlando when he put up 25 points and 11 rebounds.
