5. Hair!

You may laugh, but Walker’s hair is our first reason he was a good draft selection by the Spurs. His dreadlocks are gelled straight up in a glorious tower that spills over just barely onto his forehead in one spot. It’s like a plant that is just beginning to wilt in the sun, or a piece of a rug that’s been vacuumed over too many times.

Ridiculous or revolutionary? You decide.

All jokes aside, Walker IV’s hairstyle says something very important about him as a person. It indicates confidence and uniqueness. It’s not just his hair that separates him from the rest of his draft class; it’s his personality.

Walker IV is a self-proclaimed geek. He has a wide variety of interests, from reading to watching Animal Planet to entertaining conspiracy theories about out planet, according to The Ringer. He is an interesting, out-of-the-box thinker. His mind goes in as many directions as his hair.

His self-confidence will take him a long way in the NBA, but it is his unique personality that will most likely be a good match with the Spurs. San Antonio is creative and unique organization. It has always had a collection of diverse players from all around the world, and was the first NBA team to hire a female assistant coach. The Spurs will appreciate who Walker is, and he should fit right in.
