Lonnie Walker IV fell to the San Antonio Spurs at No. 18 in the 2018 NBA Draft, and they wasted no time snapping him up. Here are five reasons he was a good pick.

The San Antonio Spurs took Lonnie Walker IV with the No. 18 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. Walker is one of the most interesting rookies this year, and no, I’m not just referring to his hairstyle.

The new Spurs rookie will be a fascinating player to watch this year. He has incredible potential and looks to be a great fit under head coach Gregg Popovich. He has some injury history, but if he can stay healthy he may turn out to be one of the biggest steals in this year’s draft.

This summer will be critical for the Spurs. Their main concern will be retaining or trading away Kawhi Leonard. Once that situation is taken care of, they will have more clarity on what kind of a team they want to build and how they can fit their young rookies into Pop’s system.
