4. Athleticism

Another big part of Williams game is his ability to live above the rim. That’s another reason he’s drawn comparisons to Capela and Jordan, as they get a lot of points from dunks or alley-oops at the rim.

There isn’t anything wrong with that, because they’re efficient points. His 63.2 field goal percentage places him in the top 20 as well. There were plenty of highlight reels this season with the Aggies and I think that will get Celtics fans excited. Even if you aren’t a Boston fan, everyone can appreciate a good dunk.

This play alone gives you a good idea as to what he will be able to do in the NBA. There should be a lot of posters and jaw-dropping dunks in his career. This video also doesn’t just show his athleticism, but it shows his defense too.

Williams has a 7’5″ wingspan and a 40″ vertical. For a player that is 6’9″ and 240 pounds, that’s some scary length and athleticism from a big man. Players that are trying to guard him are going to have a heck of time, especially when they see him rise up for a slam. At that point, it might be best to just get out of the way.
