As previously mentioned, Musa was not supposed to be available at No. 29. However, because he wanted to come over immediately, teams passed on him, per ESPN‘s Jonathan Givony:

Considering the low-level potential of most No. 29 picks, Musa outperforms historical trends by a large margin. He took a lead role for his European team, KK Cedevita, at only age 18. His ability to refine his efficiency in a more specialized role is not out of the question, although in coach Kenny Atkinson’ offense, he might not need to cede too many touches anyway.

Don’t be surprised if Musa is starting by as early as midseason. His ball-handling, scoring and shooting are desperately needed in this democratic offense, which could make him one of the steals of the draft.
