Overall

The Washington Wizards dropped the ball once again in the 2018 NBA Draft, but with some offseason moves on the horizon, it’s not time to panic just yet.

The Wizards may not use their draft picks, but that shouldn’t be much of a surprise considering they haven’t owned a pick since the 2015 NBA Draft. They haven’t had the best of luck since drafting Otto Porter back in the 2013 NBA Draft, but that’s the beauty in it.

There’s risk and there’s also a reward that comes with taking a chance in the draft process. It seems the Wizards have little faith in the process but, it helps they plan on moving Marcin Gortat this offseason.

Still, they didn’t help their case much by drafting a wing player and combo guard. Trading Gortat is almost paramount on getting a young big in return. Considering Gortat is currently 34 years old and aging, that may be difficult for them to attain.
