Weaknesses

Terry Rozier’s main struggle when it comes to his play is his offensive game. It’s never really been a strength of his since he’s entered the league in 2015. Though he did improve a lot this season, Rozier is still a long ways away from being a finished product.

There are a lot of times where he tries to do too much and takes the majority of the shots. That’s great if you’re making them, but he could work on getting others involved and improving his decision-making.

We will give him the benefit of the doubt right now because he showed drastic improvements shooting the ball. He does need to keep working on his shot, but it appears he’s on the right path.

He can also work on his consistency on the offensive end. If he’s not making his shot, he’s more than likely taking his team out of the game. When comparing March and April, it’s practically day and night.

  • March:  17.2 PPG, 41.2 FG%, 41.8 3P%, 5.2 RPG, 4.2 APG and1.2 SPG
  • April:  6.8 PPG, 26.3 FG%, 21.1 3P%, 6.8 RPG, 5.5 APG and 1.0 BPG

Granted, he did make up for the month of April by picking up more rebounds and assists, but his shooting and scoring averages are a nightmare. Consistency is something he will need to work on and those two months are just a small sample of what we saw over the entire season.
