Con No. 1: His fit might not be great

This no doubt fully contradicts the first pro, but it’s something the Kings will most likely consider.

Doncic’s talent is undeniable, but with Fox and Buddy Hield, it looks like Sacramento has its backcourt of the future. They could decide to slot the Slovenian at the small forward position, but since he’s his best with the ball in his hands, his fit could be questionable.

What the Kings have needed for a long time is interior scoring, specifically from the power forward position.

Cauley-Stein provides a DeAndre Jordan-esque set of skills in the form of rebounding and shot-blocking. Like Jordan, though, his offense is limited to layups and dunks.

After averaging over 20 points and 10 rebounds in his lone season at Duke, Bagley would provide Sacramento with an inside scoring threat, someone who could command double-teams in the paint.

With Fox running the show, Hield spacing the floor, Bagley scoring in the paint and Cauley-Stein as a pick-and-roll threat, the Kings would look a lot more balanced on the offensive end compared to if they had to split ball-handling duties between Fox, Doncic and possibly Hield.
