Highlights

One of the top highlights of the season was earning another trip to the All-Star game. This was his fifth selection and things continue to look great for the young star.

One of his best games of the season came against the Golden State Warriors. Anytime you play the Warriors, you must play a near-perfect game. Irving did so in this Jan. 27 contest, exploding for 37 points on 13-of-18 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 shooting from downtown.

He only came away with four assists and two rebounds, but his scoring was something that was very impressive. The Celtics didn’t win the game, but they only lost by four to the NBA’s most talented team and the likely NBA champs.

One of his final games of the season before going down with an injury was a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had a complete game and almost came away with a triple-double.

Irving finished his night with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting and 3-for-7 from deep. He also came away with eight assists, seven rebounds, two steals and one block. He helped the Celtics come away with a victory as well, and that is the most important thing.

Irving’s best game could quite possibly have come against the Dallas Mavericks back in November, when he finished with a season-high 47 points. He shot 16-of-22 from the field and 5-for-7 from 3. He also came away with six assists, three rebounds and, of course, a win.
