2018 NBA Draft: 5 experienced prospects worth targeting
By Connor Harr
5. Kenrich Williams, SF — TCU
Kenrich Williams had a unique route to TCU. He played his freshman season in junior college before transferring to TCU, also Williams sat out his entire junior season with a medical redshirt. Whether Williams gets drafted or not, he will easily obtain an NBA Summer League invite.
Williams has great size for a wing at 6’7″, and he’s a very trustworthy and smart player on the basketball court. He has shot the ball consistently well all three years at TCU, with a career 3-point percentage of 37.5. Also Williams is a grab-and-go threat, averaging 9.3 rebounds per game last year at TCU. His rebounding, combined with his handle and quality vision, allow him to start his team’s push in transition.
It’s not certain that Williams will get drafted. However, he probably will be a late second round pick. He is a do-it-all wing that could play some small-ball 4. Williams is a smart player and is someone you can trust on the court both offensively and defensively. That will go a long way towards him snagging a roster spot.
