With the one-and-done infatuation, it almost feels impossible to make a great impression past one year in college. However, some still have a shot at an NBA role in the 2018 NBA Draft.
It is very hard for prospects in today’s age of scouting to make a real impression after two years in college. With rule change discussions in place, the one-and-done rule could soon be abolished and players could become draft eligible immediately after high school.
Last year, 16 out of 27 collegiate players selected where freshman, along with the first nine collegiate players selected being one-and-dones as well.
Usually the one-and-dones are the next wave of NBA talent. Many have the ideal measurables and athleticism to become an NBA athlete.
However, there are always college upperclassmen that maybe grew, got stronger, more athletic or were just under-recruited that are hungry to reach the league as well. The 2018 NBA Draft class does not have a large number of high quality underclassmen, but here are five upperclassmen that could hear their names called on draft night.
