4. Chandler Hutchison, SF — Boise State

Chandler Hutchison is one of those few players that enter the draft with over a year of college experience. In fact, he played all four years at Boise State University. Each year he improved, but it was the jump from his sophomore to junior year where we saw the most improvement.

Jumping up almost 11 points per game is a significant jump. He also filled the stat sheet quite well, tallying 7.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. One thing that really sticks out has been his development in the 3-point department.

In his first two years, he didn’t even average over one 3-pointer a game. By year four, he was averaging 4.1 shot attempts and made 35.9 percent of those. The 3-point line is further back in the NBA, so he would still need to improve when he gets to the pros.

However, it’s nice to see that he has the ability to get better as years go on. Hutchison fits the mold of the Wolves because of his ability to fill the stat sheet in multiple categories.
