Weaknesses

As mentioned before, Vonleh needs to work on his 3-point efficiency, but his big flaw is he doesn’t play a lot of defense. His career averages of 0.3 steals and 0.3 blocks per game are definitely nothing to write home about.

The only glimpse of hope here is that he improved his defensive output in the 21 games he played for the Bulls this season compared to his output in Portland, bumping his numbers up from 0.2 steals per game to 0.6.

Being able to play him on the wing could be a benefit against a fast-paced opponent. However, it also means that the Bulls can’t really slide him over to the center position. While Bobby Portis could ostensibly be slid over to the center for more Vonleh power forward minutes, that isn’t likely to happen if the Bulls draft a center, which is certainly possible.
