Strengths

Noah Vonleh possesses an uncanny ability to rebound the basketball. His season averages have gone up each season he has been in the league, and in a Bulls uniform he averaged 6.9 boards in 19 minutes per game. Not bad.

The change in scenery from the Portland Trail Blazers clearly helped his value, and rightfully so. He was being played behind vets like Meyers Leonard and Ed Davis, and while those guys could play, Vonleh had yet to prove himself to be inefficient with minutes.

In other words, the Bulls may have stolen a solid rotation player.

His other big strength is his finesse with the ball for a big man. He is featured below putting Charlotte Hornets center Cody Zeller on his butt with a crossover and soft finish.

He is also learning to implement the 3-ball, and wasn’t shy about that since his arrival in the Windy City, taking a career-high 2.9 attempts from long range per game after the trade. Unfortunately, he only converted 30 percent of them.

The added benefit is that if he plays the center (or even power forward) and improves his shot, he can draw opposing bigs out to the perimeter, creating space for Zach LaVine to slash at will.
