9. Harrison Barnes drains a game-winner

The Memphis Grizzlies were more than just the Dallas Mavericks’ first victory later on in the season. The two teams met once again on Nov. 22, and that’s when Harrison Barnes woke up. Both teams had their fair share of close meetings throughout the season.

Barnes finished the game with 22 points, including his game-winning 3-pointer with 0.5 seconds left on the clock. The Mavericks got the win, albeit on the road, after trailing by as many as 18 points.

Dallas outscored Memphis 56-38 in the second half to storm all the way back into the game. Barnes scored 15 of his 22 points in the second frame along with rookie Dennis Smith Jr., who also had 15 of his 17 total points in the second half.

It was quite the come together moment for the Dallas Mavericks, who won just 24 games in 2017-18. The victory marked a stretch where the Mavericks won three of four contests, showing they found resolve at one point. It wasn’t the only bright spot, either, as they did put together a win streak worth talking about.
