The Brooklyn Nets had a lot of ups and downs this season, but as a whole the team was really fun. Here are the top 10 moments from 2017-18 season better than the team’s record indicates.
To the surprise of very few, the Brooklyn Nets rarely jumped off the TV screen. The team’s plan to run a 3-point heavy offense was occasionally fun, but mostly disappointing.
Due to the scarcity of such great moments, the ones that did occur were inflated in value to the fan. Most players, in tandem with the team as a whole, had lower expectations. So as a result, the positive outcomes were aggrandized.
This is not unique to the state of the Nets; most rebuilding teams have such standards. Nonetheless, moments of joy still happened throughout the 2017-18 NBA season, and added to the mountain of positive things to take away.
