With the Brooklyn Nets’ long and arduous 2017-18 season over, it’s time to look at five major things to write home about (literally).

The Brooklyn Nets have been far from normal the past few seasons, and the 2017-18 season was indicative of that. A flurry of trades in the previous summer led to a completely new team taking the floor. To boot, the newbies and incumbents all had mixed bags of production and success.

As anyone would expect from a rebuild, wins were few and far between, because they are not the priority. Development and experimentation is, for the sake of figuring out who sticks around for the more successful future.

Some players solidified their futures, some bolstered their cases to stay, and others perplexed everyone. This fun, fast-paced, confusing and scintillating season provided a plethora of things to take away from the 2017-18 campaign. Here are the top five.
