3. Tyreke Evans, SG, Memphis Grizzlies (Unrestricted)

I’m not sure why, but Tyreke Evans continues to be one of the most underrated guards in the NBA. He’s had his ups and downs during his lengthy career, but he’s coming into his own with the Memphis Grizzlies, and has certainly increased his value during the 2017-18 campaign.

Now he’ll head into free agency as one of the league’s most outstanding combo guards. He’ll only be 29 at the start of next season, and hasn’t allowed Father Time to take too much of the juice out of his legs. Put simply, Evans has the makings of one of the NBA’s biggest free agency bargains.

Why wouldn’t the 76ers be interested? As I already mentioned, Redick’s one-year deal with Philadelphia is set to expire this offseason. If Ellington isn’t the answer at shooting guard, maybe Evans can patch up that hole. His 3-point shooting has improved as of late, and we’ve seen that he’s more than capable of scoring in bunches.

I don’t see Evans returning to the Grizzlies in 2018-19. Especially in the wake of his current absence due to “personal” reasons (via Grizzlies PR), a split seems inevitable. That’ll open the door for the 76ers to pounce on the veteran scorer.

Evans may not seem like an exciting free agency target. However, if the 76ers were to sign him this offseason, I have no doubt they’d be thrilled with the end results.
