5. Get John Wall back in sync

Playoff opponent aside, the Washington Wizards could really use a confidence boost at this point in the season. After steering them to a strong February, head coach Scott Brooks is the captain of a ship lost at sea.

The Wizards are now 6-11 since the month of February, although not much has changed in their rotation other than the return of point guard John Wall. Otto Porter Jr. has been in and out of the lineup with injury and sickness, but he’s still playing solid basketball.

Wall has been decent in his return, averaging 17.3 points, 12.7 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals in the three games since he’s returned, but he’s turning the ball over a lot more at 6.0 times a game. The Wizards are 1-2 in the three games he’s played.

Wall has looked a bit out of sync with the ball in his hands on offense. Bradley Beal handled the ball a lot more in his absence and now is the time to let him take over the reins some down the stretch. Wall had six turnovers against the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of them coming at the end of the game where he literally threw the ball to Cedi Osman.

Getting Wall back in sync with the offense just means getting him the ball more in fast break situations, which shouldn’t be too difficult. Though they eventually lost, the Wizards finished with 21 total fast break points on Thursday night.
