The Washington Wizards have three games left on their regular season schedule. With that being said, they need to finish strong.

The Washington Wizards have had a tough time stringing wins together in the month of March. Point guard John Wall is back in the starting rotation with keeping him healthy for the long haul as the goal.

In their big game against the Cleveland Cavaliers Thursday night, Washington fell 119-115. In a potential preview of a first round playoff matchup, the Wizards squandered a 104-87 lead, getting outscored 32-11 down the stretch en route to another loss. Cleveland shot 11-of-15 (73.3 percent) from the floor as a team, while Washington shot 10-of-26 (38.5 percent), showing the focus still isn’t quite there.

The Washington Wizards have lost three straight games and seven of their last nine contests with the regular season coming to a close. With a 42-37 record, they’re well below last season’s win-total of 49. Right now, they are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference standings. They were fourth to begin the month of March.

John Wall has appeared in only 39 games this season, so finishing seventh in the Eastern Conference without their floor general is no small feat. They’ll need him now more than ever with the 2018 NBA Playoffs approaching.

Here’s a look at five keys for the Washington Wizards as they approach their regular season finale.
