3. Robin Lopez and Justin Holiday to see more playing time

Shortly after the All-Star break, the Bulls announced they were going to take an extended look at some of the players who had not seen a ton of action during the first half of the season. What this meant was that some of the veterans players would be asked to sacrifice their minutes in order for the team to determine who would be a good fit heading into next season.

The two players in question were Robin Lopez and Justin Holiday, both of which have exceeded expectations on and off the court. Considering that two of the team’s marquee players at their respective positions will be riding the pine the rest of the way, look for Lopez (who has played in three of the team’s last five games) and Holiday (who has played in every game since March 15) to have bigger roles than they did a few weeks ago.

Obviously, neither player is going to see the 30-plus minutes of action per outing they had grown accustomed to earlier in the season, but it would be very surprising if they weren’t given between 15-20 minutes a game down the stretch.
