9. Justin Jackson, Sacramento Kings

Last week: N/A

Rookie Justin Jackson is a player reaping the rewards of extended playing time in the Sacramento Kings‘ rotation. He’s showing just how much potential this Sacramento roster has under its belt as yet another player to crack the Rookie of the Year power rankings.

Jackson put up 13.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 26.3 minutes of action this past week in the Kings’ three games. The team went 1-2, but Jackson put his coaching staff on notice with his play. He put up a career-high 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field against the Atlanta Hawks last Thursday. He went a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range while nearly being perfect from the floor as well.

Jackson is a hybrid wing who is still learning to play on both ends. When he can find his offensive stroke early, the result is usually mutually beneficial. Now, the Kings just need to find room for him in the rotation.
