Portland Trail Blazers: Longest winning streaks in franchise history
16 games: Mar. 20 to Apr. 19, 1991
The 1990-91 season was big for the Blazers. They won a franchise-most 63 games that year. Basketball-Reference also rates them the second-most efficient offense in team history, scoring 112.8 points per 100 possessions.
These Trail Blazers also had a penchant for streaking. They kicked off the season with an 11-game run. Portland also had spurts of eight, five and seven games throughout the year.
Rip City would save its best for last to wrap up the season, reeling off 16 straight wins. The streak allowed them to beat out the previous franchise wins record they set the prior season. It also helped them secure their first Pacific Division title since 1978.
The road wasn’t easy, as nine of Portland’s 16 games were away from Memorial Coliseum. This stint included a six-game road trip against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Washington Bullets, Orlando Magic and all three Texas teams.
The Blazers got the job done though, defeating teams by an average of 12.9 points per game. Portland scored 100 or more in every game while holding teams below the century mark eight times.
Clyde Drexler led the tear, averaging 20.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.1 steals per game. Terry Porter chipped in 18.3 points and 8.0 assists per game while shooting 44.4 percent from 3-point range.
The streak was eventually thwarted in the final game of the season, a 135-118 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Still, the Trail Blazers charged confidently through the first two rounds of the playoffs.

Unfortunately, despite their record-breaking season, Portland could not secure a second consecutive conference championship. Instead, they fell 4-2 to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
