1. The best Wizards lineups

The Washington Wizards have a total of six five-man lineups (that have played more than two minutes a game) with a positive plus/minus since February. What’s interesting is the three most effective lineups have three players in common.

Bradley Beal, Otto Porter Jr. and Tomas Satoransky are the three players that show up in all of the best Wizards lineups. While Bradley Beal and Otto Porter Jr. make sense, it’s amazing to see Satoransky be so crucial to the team’s success.

While there are definitely some teams out there with a younger and more tantalizing core, it’s incredibly promising to see the Wizards succeed with their young guys as well. In a world where the team will be paying Porter, Beal and Wall incredible amounts of money for years to come, one of the best things in the world is for Satoransky to develop into a strong rotational guy. The team will have to pay him less than $4 million for the next three years.

As stated in the beginning, John Wall is an All-Star point guard and should be feared around the league, but the Wizards have always been a team to struggle with depth. The fact that Satoransky is playing at such an effective level for them means they’ll have one guy they can trust when the grueling playoff battles in their future arrive.
