March 31 vs. Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets remain the Wizards’ biggest obstacle of the 2017-18 season. For whatever reason, the Hornets continue to give Washington fits when these two teams face off. Charlotte currently leads the season series 3-0. One win for the Wizards against them will prevent the proverbial season sweep.

In their last meeting on Feb 23., Charlotte took the victory, 122-105. In Washington’s defense, they were coming off a game the night before, and a big win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at that. This time around, the Wizards will have a day of rest.

Still, they’ve allowed over 120 points to the Hornets this season. In their last meeting, Charlotte made 17 3-pointers, the most by any opponent the Wizards have faced this year. Marvin Williams made four of those 3-pointers as a starter and Frank Kaminsky was responsible for six of those 3-pointers off the bench.

It is paramount that the Washington Wizards finish the month strong here. The Hornets are 28-34 this season and are nearly out of the playoff picture, Washington should treat them as such.
