The Washington Wizards have fared well despite the loss of John Wall for an extended time. Here’s a look at how March needs to go for them.

February was a strong month for the Washington Wizards as they continued to play on without All-Star point guard John Wall. They managed to go 8-4 last month, keeping their status as the fourth-best team in the Eastern Conference with an overall record of 36-26.

In terms of must-win games last month, Washington posted a record of 1-2. They finished with a victory over the Milwaukee Bucks last Tuesday night to prevent from going winless in their must-win situations. An overtime loss to the Boston Celtics and a blowout loss to the Charlotte Hornets gave them a few bumps in the road, but they finished the month on a positive note nonetheless.

Despite going 1-2 in must-win scenarios, the Wizards have done well to discover their new identity. It’s an identity that involves a lot more ball movement, creating playmakers out of anybody with the ball in their hand.

One player who has flourished in Wall’s absence is Tomas Satoransky. In his second season with Washington, Satoransky has emerged as everything they’ve needed off the bench and then some. He’s putting up 11.2 points, 5.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in the last 14 games for the Washington Wizards.

He’s got the Washington Wizards focused on bigger things ahead in the month. Here’s a look at the team’s must-win games in the month of March.
