9. De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

Last week: 9th (↔)

Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox is battling injury but that hasn’t kept him from producing when he’s in the rotation. The Kings led for most of the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder before Russell Westbrook struck at the buzzer. Sacramento fell in that game, 110-107, on Thursday night.

Fox was unable to go for that game, but his presence sure would have made a difference. He did return for Sacramento’s game against the Lakers on Saturday night. Fox had 13 points, six assists, a rebound and a steal, although the Kings still fell 113-108 in the end.

Sacramento isn’t vying for a playoff spot with an 18-41 record right now. The best move they’ve made this season is inserting Fox into the starting rotation.

He’s still learning, albeit on one of the youngest teams in the NBA, so expect some more growing pains. Their offense ranks 29th in in the league in points per game (99.0) and their offensive rating (103.8) ranks 30th.
