The Washington Wizards are 33-24, fourth in the Eastern Conference standings at the All-Star Break. Here are five takeaways from their current status.

The Washington Wizards look to be in good shape as teams take a brief break from their regular season schedule for the All-Star Break. They have been without point guard John Wall for a stretch, but they’ve shown their resolve, especially recently.

The Wizards overcame a 27-point deficit to defeat the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, 118-113. It was the biggest comeback of the NBA season as Washington outscored the Knicks 67-41 in the second half. They also held Tim Hardaway Jr. to just five second half points after he exploded for 32 in the first.

Entering All-Star Weekend, John Wall will be sidelined due to injury, but it’s worth noting he was selected as an All-Star reserve. His backcourt mate, Bradley Beal, will also be an All-Star reserve after being selected to the first All-Star Game of his young career.

The Washington Wizards have gotten contributions from the supporting cast as well. Tomas Satoransky is stepping up big-time in Wall’s absence, as are Kelly Oubre Jr. and Otto Porter Jr.. It’s shaping up to be an interesting final 25 games of the season for this group. Here’s a look at five takeaways for the team at the All-Star Break.
