Locker room drama, blockbuster trades and teams are streaking. Here’s a look at the underperformers and overachievers for Week 18.
There’s been plenty to talk about as the 2018 NBA Trade Deadline was just a week ago. Locker room meetings look to be a thing of the past as teams look for results on the hardwood.
The Los Angeles Clippers wasted no time in unloading Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons, while big man DeAndre Jordan stayed put. Griffin has looked good next to Pistons center Andre Drummond in the frontcourt as the team looks to win now.
The Cleveland Cavaliers look to be on another level after making some big deals at the trade deadline. Now, with Larry Nance Jr., Jordan Clarkson, George Hill and Rodney Hood, the Cavaliers look to leave their losing ways behind them.
In other areas, some teams are riding losing streaks as February is halfway through. While the trade deadline was kind to some teams, it wasn’t for teams like the Memphis Grizzlies, who are currently riding a seven-game losing streak.
The Grizzlies aren’t the only team struggling, either. The New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns are also riding multiple-game losing streaks. On the flip side, teams like the Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz and Philadelphia 76ers are riding multiple-game winning streaks of their own.
Trades aside, here’s a look at this week’s underperformers and overachievers.
